Beast Crawler is an extremely simple foundation for what could be an even more complex game. It's a guide ideally used when you want to play animals, creatures, or monsters without a specific roleplaying game in mind.

This was built to be a game someone could pick up and twist around as much as they like - feel free to do what you wish with the rules in this two page pdf. Hack it to pieces, glue it back together.
